Membuat Volume Group, Logical Volume dan File System dari Disk Baru pada AIX
Membuat Volume Group (VG)
Gunakan command cfgmgr untuk scan dan identifikasi seluruh konfigurasi yang terinstall.
#cfgmgr
Kemudian command lspv untuk melihat konfigurasi pv.
#lspv
root@xxx:/>cfgmgr root@xxx:/>lspv hdisk18 00f86d5fa9781a05 rootvg active hdisk27 00f86d5fa99e3994 datavg active hdisk30 none None active
Berdasarkan contoh diatas, pada system terdapat LUN hdisk30 yang belum terkonfigurasi apapun. Gunakan command bootinfo -s hdiskxx untuk mengetahui size dari LUN tersebut.
